    For Accidental Death (AD)/Permanent Total Disability (PTD)/Permanent Partial Disability (PPD)/Temporary Total Disability (TTD) of any employee that arises out in and out of employment under EC(Employee's Compensation Act) Act (erstwhile WC(Workmen's Compensation Act) Act), Fatal Accident Act and Common Law

Employees Of The Contractor/ Subcontractors

    Employees of the Contractor/ subcontractors can also be included in the policy of the Principal provided their count and estimated salary/wages for the policy period are also accounted for.

    Policy can be taken by individual contractor/ sub-contractor for their insurable population.

Indemnity

    Indemnity is provided as determined by WC Commissioner/ Asst. Commissioner in WC Court. However, insurer’s liability is limited by provisions of the EC Act. (Fines / penalties, interest for delay are not paid by the insurer). Funeral expense of the deceased workman can be paid up to Rs5,000 in addition to indemnity for death

    Definition of “monthly wage” for calculation of indemnity as per latest amendment as of now stands at Rs15000. This is a variable and declared in official Gazette from time to time by The Ministry of Labour

Insured Without Any Selection.

Addition And Deletion Of Employees

Indemnity For “Occupational Disease”

    Though WC Acts allows indemnity for “Occupational disease”, for Chola MS it is an exclusion as per UW guideline

Legal / Defence Cost

    For the employer, legal / defence cost is also allowed to defend any claim where prima facie its apparent that claim under WC (by an employee) is not tenable as per provisions of the Act/ policy
