Mr. N. S. Venkatesh joined the Board of the Bank in November 2025. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Science graduate from Kerala University. He holds Diplomas in Management and Financial Services and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) and the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).

He possesses specialized knowledge and practical expertise in Risk Management, Treasury operations, Accountancy, Banking, Business Management, Economics, Finance and International Banking.

With a distinguished career spanning over 4 decades in the banking and financial services sector, including more than 20 years in Treasury and International Banking, he has held several pivotal leadership positions. His tenure at the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) extended for over 19 years, during which he served in senior leadership roles such as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director. Additionally, he has held positions as Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) and Executive Director at Lakshmi Vilas Bank.

He has been an active member of various committees and working groups of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He has chaired the Fixed Income, Money Markets & Derivatives Association (FIMMDA) and served as a Committee Member of the Foreign Exchange Dealers’ Association of India (FEDAI). He was also an invitee-ex officio to SEBI’s Mutual Funds Advisory Committee and a member of SEBI’s Corporate Bonds and Securitization Advisory Committee (CoBoSAC).
