Interest rates are subject to periodic changes. The applicable interest rates will be offered based on the date and time of receipt of the funds by the Bank. The depositor shall ascertain the rates on the booking date of FCNR (B) Fixed Deposit.
Premature closure of existing FCNR (B) deposits and their rebooking at the revised FCNR fixed deposit rates effective from 10th June 2026 will not be permitted.
Penalty on Premature Withdrawal(Applicable for FCNR(B) deposits opened on or after 1st July 2026):
For deposits with original tenor of 1 Year to < 3 Years:
Within 1 Year of Deposit Booking : No interest payable; no penalty applicable
After 1 Year: Interest will be paid at the rate applicable for the actual period the deposit remained with the Bank, subject to a 1% penalty
For deposits with original tenor of ≥ 3 Years to ≤ 5 Years:
Deposits shall be subject to a lock-in period of 12 months
Post completion of Lock-in period: Interest will be paid at the rate applicable for the actual period the deposit remained with the Bank, subject to a 3% penalty
