Maintenance fee

AU Savings Account has no maintenance or annual fee.

However, the annual fee for AU Debit Card is INR 200.

Average Monthly Balance (AMB)

AMB is the minimum balance in a Savings Account you need to maintain every month. The bank calculates AMB at the end of each month.

For AU Savings Account, the minimum balance requirement is INR 10,000 for Urban branches and INR 5,000 for Core branches.

Charges for non-maintenance of AMB

Charges for non-maintenance of AMB vary as per the Savings Accounts you choose. For AU Savings Account, below are the charges:

Urban Branches:

  • 5% of the shortfall amount, i.e., a maximum of INR 500 fee, would be applicable

Core Branches:

  • 5% of the shortfall amount, i.e., a maximum of INR 250 fee, would be applicable

Issuing subsequent chequebooks

Banks usually charge delivery fees for issuing subsequent chequebooks & it is INR 50 as part of chequebook delivery charges.

Passbook issuance

A free passbook is issued at the time of the Savings Account opening process.

AU Saving Account holders can get up-to-date information about their account anytime, anywhere using AU 0101 App/ NetBanking.

DD/ cheque cancellation charges

  • INR 100 per instrument for DD cancellation
  • INR 50 per Cheque for retrieval of cheque per instruction
