How do I use BHIM UPI? Using UPI is simple. All you need is a smartphone and an internet connection. You can refer to the following steps:

Go to Google Play Store/App Store and download our AU 0101 App

Once the app has been downloaded, follow the instructions on the app to sign in.

An SMS will be sent from your phone to validate your mobile number registered with Bank.

Select your eligible bank account and verify your Debit Card details.

Select your UPI ID and set your mPIN to start transacting with UPI.
After your account has been set up, you can use UPI to transfer money by entering the recipient’s number and your UPI PIN. Your money will be transferred within seconds.

Debit limit
Android user
- For the first 24 hours after registering on UPI, android users are limited to INR 5,000 or 20 transactions, whichever is reached first.
- After completing the initial 24 hours of UPI registration, users can transfer up to INR 1,00,000 per day with a maximum of 20 person-to-person (P2P) transactions within a 24-hour period.
- User can transfer up to INR 1,00,000 in a single transaction.
- After completing the initial 72 hours of UPI registration, users can transfer up to INR 1,00,000 per day with a maximum of 20 person-to-person (P2P) transactions within a 24-hour period.
- User can transfer up to INR 1,00,000 in a single transaction.
iOS user
- For the first 72 hours after registering on UPI, iOS users are limited to INR 5,000 or 20 transactions per 24 hours, whichever is reached first.
Credit limit
- User can receive up to INR 1,00,000 in a single transaction.
- Users can receive up to INR 4,00,000 within 24 hours.
- Users can receive up to 50 transactions (any transaction value) or a maximum of 25 transactions over INR 2,000 within 24 hours.

What is UPI?
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a payment system that can be used on a smartphone. This simple tool lets you add multiple bank accounts to a single app and transfer money easily through your smartphone. With this, you can make bank-to-bank transfers in real-time. The UPI PIN is all you need to transfer money anytime and anywhere.
How do I make a UPI payment?
You can make UPI payments from your smartphone by entering the UPI PIN. You do not need the recipient’s bank account number; you can transfer money directly to their mobile phone, provided it is linked to a UPI ID.
What is required for UPI payment?
You need a smartphone, an active internet connection, a bank account linked to your UPI app and a mobile number registered with your bank to make a UPI payment. You also need the UPI ID, mobile number or bank account number of the person you are transferring the funds to.
Who regulates UPI payments in India?
In India, UPI has been developed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and is currently being regulated by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It is a payment system that allows you to make 24x7 money transfers from your smartphone.
How do I activate my UPI?
You can activate your UPI by downloading the UPI app on your smartphone. You will be asked to register on the app with your mobile number. A one-time password will be sent from your phone. This will be used to verify your account. You can then proceed to create a UPI PIN for yourself.
Your UPI will then be ready to use!
Is UPI payment safe?
UPI payments are entirely safe. The money is transferred from one bank account to another in real-time. You can also directly carry out money transfers to another mobile number linked to a UPI ID.
What is UPI PIN?
UPI PIN is a unique number you set post adding your bank account during UPI App registration. UPI PIN is required to make any payment to a person or merchant through UPI. If you enter the incorrect UPI PIN, the transaction fail with the reason ‘Incorrect UPI PIN’.
How to check Balance if my UPI transaction is getting failed with Insufficient balance.
If you try to make UPI transaction for an amount which is more than available balance in your account then your UPI transaction will fail with the reason ‘Insufficient Balance’. You can always check available balance in your respective UPI linked account from any UPI APP before making any payments to avoid the transaction failure due to insufficient funds.
Why am I not receiving funds in my account which has been transferred by another person through UPI?
A person is allowed to receive the P2P fund transfer credit in his or her account maximum up to 100 transactions or INR 5,00,000/- cumulative credit per day.
How can I make payments through credit cards on AU UPI?
You can add and link any RuPay Credit Card to your AU UPI ID. Just scan-n-pay like you always do, and pay from your credit card. Do note that you can pay only eligible merchants using your RuPay credit Card, via UPI.
Do I earn additional reward points by making UPI payment through credit card?
Reward points are subject to your RuPay credit card. Kindly get in touch with your Credit Card provider bank for more information on reward points via UPI transactions.
I'm not able to make UPI payment using receiver's mobile number
You can pay anyone using their Mobile Number (or UPI Number), if they have opted to link the same to their UPI ID. If they don't have a linked UPI Number, you can pay to the reciever's UPI ID or by scanning their UPI QR Code.
