What is KYC?
KYC is a process carried out by AU Small Finance Bank or any other bank or financial institution to verify the identity of their customers, as per the rules defined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It is done when you want to initiate any kind of banking transaction, such as opening an account, applying for a loan or credit card, etc. This process can be done mainly in two forms: Minimum KYC and Full KYC.
What is Full-KYC?
Full-KYC requires physical verification of documents for identity and address proof, as prescribed by the RBI, such as driver’s license, passport, voter’s card, PAN card, etc.
To complete full KYC, you can go ahead with or without Aadhaar. Choosing Aadhaar requires biometric authentication, while the non-Aadhaar method needs you to present your documents physically at the branch.
Once full KYC is completed, you can access all the services offered by AU Small Finance Bank.
Usually, to complete full-KYC you need to visit a branch, but, given that the current situation calls for social distancing, branch visits pose additional risks that you may want to avoid.
What is Minimum KYC?
What is Video KYC?
Video KYC enables you to open an AU Savings Account instantly wherein, after entering your details, you will have the option to get on a video call with our bank executive to complete your KYC process. The video call will ensure you no longer need to visit the branch to complete your KYC.
Here are the advantages of choosing Video KYC and getting your Full KYC Account:
- Get the full-fledged Savings Account with Unrestricted deposits, spends and validity.
- No Paperwork with zero-contact account opening process from the comfort of your home.
